Janet Jones is a photographer focusing her camera mainly on the thermal features in Yellowstone, but with her diverse interests in the natural world, she has built a portfolio of images from small macro shots to the wide landscapes of the west where she was born and raised. With family in Cody, this area and the park has always felt like home, but in 2014, she moved here to make it her legal home.
Some of her images are Digital Photo Watercolors where she takes a base image and uses multiple software programs to create a watercolor look to the imaes. She always looks for the best way to present each photograph.
She is also author of a guide book to the thermal features at West Thumb Geyser Basin and is working on a second guide book.
