After spending a few days in Yellowstone's interior, I joyfully share this cutie with you. A porcupine. A very blonde porcupine. I was fascinated by how well she blended in with the scarred trunks of the mostly dead pine tree forest. Her movements were almost sloth like as she climbed from branch to branch, using stretches and moves that yogis would envy. I enjoyed the few days spent with friends in one of the prettiest, snowiest places in America. Yellowstone in winter is surreal. It is a completely different experience than summer....wildlife is incredibly adaptable and seem to thrive in the harshest of conditions. And, sometimes it's the simplest of forms that make the most impact. Who needs wolves? Who needs bobcats? ..... OK, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see wolves and bobcats. But I loved this little porcupine. Grateful.
